Our walls and doors are designed to be clad with glass, masonry, wood or other materials. Special remote operators, switches, and high wind loadings are everyday requests at HydAway.

Single-Leaf, Bi-Fold, Tilt-Up, or Roll-Up Doors?

Many people assume the type of door they need, without knowing the advantages of a single-leaf hydraulic door. Single-leaf doors have many benefits that bi-fold and coiling doors won't have. Ultimately, the option is yours with what your space and budget will allow. The HydAway brand now includes bi-fold doors as promoted at IBS 2024, to further accommodate our customers with less space who are still looking for the hidden cylinder option.

Advantages of a single-leaf hydraulic door

  • There is minimal loss of headroom

  • HydAway products connect directly to the header and jamb

  • Single-leaf doors can accept a variety of different cladding options

  • There are fewer moving parts, thereby having less maintenance

  • Single-leaf doors require less material, which in turn means less weight

  • The door does not intrude on the inside of the building, potentially blocking fire suppression systems and lighting

Hinges: Unique Strength & Safety

  • PowerLift hinge blades are surrounded by, supported inside, and welded through the entire header tube.

  • PTFE (Teflon) infused bronze bushings deliver permanent hinge lubrication, with permanent silent operation.

  • Our exclusive PowerLift hinge system puts and end to the risks created by greasing hinges located 12’ – 30’ in the air.

  • PowerLift hinge life expectancy is measured in centuries, not months or years.

PowerLift Size Chart

The chart shows inches lost on each side and inches lost in height. 3/5 means a 3″ loss on each side (total width loss of 6″) and 5″ of headroom lost.
For retrofits, PowerLift’s unique outside mount system offers zero width/height loss. This is a general chart and does not include all available sizes.
